Storing it in a hat box
We highly recommended storing your hat in a hat box. It is important to keep the hat on a straight surface to maintain its original shape.
Hang it on the wall
You can hang your hat on a nail on the wall, but we suggest covering the tip of the nail with a foam ball so that the sharp tip of the nail does not damage your hat.
On a shelf
When storing on a shelf, it is important to flip the hat upside down and store it on its crown, not its brim. Storing your hat on the brim for a long time will put pressure on the brim causing it to change its original shape.
Felt hats can be cleaned with a soft brush or a lint roller. When using a soft bristled brush, brush in small circular motions counterclockwise.
Dust or dirt can also be removed by wiping the hat with a slightly wet towel that will not pick up color or fibers.
PROLONGING THE LIFE
Handle it by the brim, not the crown. Take off or pick up your hat by grasping it at the front and back of the brim. If you are caught in a rainstorm and your hat is soaked, allow it to dry naturally. Artificial heat from a hair dryer or a heater can deform or shrink the hat.
Create a nest like shape in your suitcase to help cradle the brim and crown of the hat. Placing your hat crown down, be sure to support the brim and fill the crown with a soft article of clothing.
